Upper Ramp rappel route. To descend from Upper Ruper, do the 100' Chockstone Chimney rappel to the Upper Ramp. From the base of Chockstone Chimney, scramble up a short slab and down the other side to a bolted rappel anchor by the tree shown in the photo. Note: tree is now gone. A 60' rappel takes you to a stance with bolts and chains. An 80' rappel takes you to Vertigo Ledge. Follow Vertigo Ledge uphill until it meets the West Face trail.

There are now two sets of bolts at the top of the Upper Ramp. One set is visible from the top of the slab. The other set is a little further down and not visible unless you downclimb. I'm guessing the first set of bolts was not present when conster commented on this photo. Mar 5, 2017

We had a hard time finding the raps by the tree. The tree in the picture is no longer there and you can't see the raps when you look over the short slab. You can only see the bolts once you down climb. Another climber, who was waiting for us to rap, will try to suggested to move the rap to the edge of the short slab so climbers can find it.
