Description Suggest change

After criticism of his bolted routes in the city, Rex Hong made a statement with a ground up onsight FA of Maximum Impact. Essentially a solo -  he reportedly spent a very long time looking for gear placements (nonexistent) and even climbed in and out the crux several times before committing and taking it to the top.

Almost 40 years later, the sport routes put up by the jackson hole crew remain some of the city’s most popular, but this route was largely ignored. When contacted about applying for a permit to add bolts & and anchor, Rex begrudgingly gave his permission.

“Maximum Impact. Ahhh impetuous youth. Can’t wait til they’re good enough to do it. … I do think it would be a cool route to add to the rollercoaster wall, but most we bolt everything? If it were to happen, the one thing I would hope to happen, change the name to Minimum Impact”

Location Suggest change

Shares the start (and optional first bolt) of coffee and cornflakes on the far right side of rollercoaster wall. For full value, finish directly on the bolt line up top rather than skirting out right.

Protection Suggest change

6-7 bolts to mussys. Skip the 2nd bolt of C&C
