Description
Start sitting with both of your hands on the positive feature on the lower right side of the crack. Use offwidth techniques along with fists to climb the overhanging crack to the top of the boulder.
This is a very fun and aesthetic line that should be on every crack boulderer's list.
Location
Approach as for Liberty Cap. From the Wildwood/Liberty Cap trailhead, follow signs for Liberty Cap for about 1 mile to the marked intersection of Liberty Cap Trail and Ute Canyon Trail. This is steep and hot in the summer. Turn left (southeast), and follow Ute Canyon Trail until it intersects the obvious Ute Canyon watercourse after about 0.5 miles. Follow the watercourse downstream (southeast) for about 0.25 miles. Perched Lizard is the obvious split boulder located somewhat high on the river right after you enter the granite-floored canyon.
GPS coordinates are: 39.05346, -108.66669.
