The two areas Jefferson County Open Space intends to close in Clear Creek Canyon, shown on the attached maps, encompass the active eagle nests. If the Clear Creek eagles continue to nest in the active nests, these areas will remain closed from February 1 through July 31. If the eagles choose different nesting sites, the closures will be adjusted accordingly to protect those eagles during their breeding season.
Currently, rock climbing areas that fall inside of the seasonal raptor closures include:
Blonde Formation
Bumbling Stock
Evil Area
Ghost Crag
Highlander
Skinny Legs
Stumbling Block
Tetanus Garden
Fault Caves
Description
If we're gonna have 3 finishes and 3 starts, we might as well have 9 total options to round it out. This is probably one of the sillier link-ups in the cave, but it's fun climbing and an easier alternative to the standard Rubble finish.
Begin on Rubble, power through the routes initial crux to arrive at the rest at bolt 3 and 4. Rest up, and execute the second crux of Rubble powerful underclings, to get to the seam. Traverse left for about 10 feet before arriving at Climbing Industrial Complex for another rest before pulling its crux to get to the top.
It helps to extend the final draw on Rubble before traversing left - this will cut back on rope drag when topping out CIC.
Location
Start on Rubble, climb the first two cruxes, then traverse left and finish on Climbing Industrial Complex.
