Warning Access Issue: Temporary trail closure & Thumb and Needle Closures - resolved with The Thumb Open Space creation DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Start Patchwork by stepping off a chockstone below the chimney onto the face right below the first bolt. Climb the face toward a shallow, hanging dihedral. The crux involves thin technical movement that surpasses the dihedral along its right edge using crimps and rails to reach the anchors.

Either lower off from the anchors or follow easy scrambling to the top of the Needle where a rap station can be used to descend.

Location Suggest change

Patchwork starts 30 feet right of Stitches at the base of a chimney on the West end of the pillar located on the South Face of the Needle.

Protection Suggest change

7 bolts to a 2 bolt anchor with steel carabiners.
