Description Suggest change

Route climbs the green-lichen buttress leading toward the summit area. Starts up chimneys on the right side to a ledge. Then up right to the crack that splits the green buttress, past crystal dikes, on finger crack that widens to a chimney over several hundred feet. From a larger ledge at a natural end to chimney climbing, step right to continue up corners to the summit area. The cruxes are the start of the finger crack, and an overhanding wide crack/lieback higher up.

The summit area is scrambling and some boulder problems to get to the summit pyramid. climb weakness on the north east side.

Descend to the east along 2nd-3rd class until you can get around to the base again.

Location Suggest change

The green lichen buttress and it's crack are obvious from the base, the buttress is obvious on the approach, and the peak is obvious from the hot springs campground.

Protection Suggest change

Full rack, small nuts to wide cams. A #6 Yates was appreciated on the successful attempt. No pitons, no bolts.
