Description
Hot in the summer. There's a hot springs campground at the mouth of the canyon. All the vegetation makes it obvious, as you come out of Laguna Salada. The canyon has water through most of the year (or did in the 90's). Cool pools up there. Canyon gets 4th and 5th class near the rim.
From the canyon mouth you can see Cerro Rasco, on the south side. It's separate from the crater rim.
A loop can be done from the rim, down Tajo, across the desert, and back up Guadalupe.
