Fish and Wildlife and Washington Climbers Coalition have worked together to
coordinate protection of a peregrine falcon nest located on the climbing wall.
Climbing at Substation, Write-Off Rock, Nevermind Wall, We Did Rock, and Hull
Creek Rock are unaffected by the closure and remain open.
If you have any questions about the closure, please contact Ranger Oakley at 425-832-2163.
CHOSS IS CLASSIC
A similar route to La Vida Locomotive, sandwiched between it and Old Milwaukee Road.
See comments on Black Market. The low angle climbing to the first anchor used to be called Black Market, was chopped amd retrobolted with this extension up the headwall.
Climb up 5 bolts of balancey low angle climbing to an awkward rest at the headwall. Beware of loose rock as you launch up and left through the bulge. Pumpy moves on jugs lead up to the higher friction caprock and chains on the ledge. A tricky onsight with both technical movement and powerful jug hauling.
