Updated Description (March 2023):

Upon attempting this route in late 2021, the climb was not doable due to the bolting having never been finished.  There was a stud sticking out at the bottom (Bolt #1), bolt #2 had a hanger, but the rest of the route was un-equipped.  On 3/12/23 the bolting of this route was completed.  A plated steel Fixe hanger was added to Bolt #1, Bolt #2 was left as is (and tightened down), and Bolts #3-5 were drilled and added.  This is now a 5-bolt 11d.  Existing name will remain.

As far as beta goes, all of the hard climbing is at the first 3 bolts.  Route starts in a large, black hole above crumbly rock.  Bolt is easy to clip from the starting holds, and Bolt #2 can be easily clipped from the large hole if the draw was pre-hung.  Establish your left hand on a small incut crimp, lock off and move up to an undercling with your right hand.  From there you use a series of pinches, side pulls and good footwork to establish your left hand in a large undercling at the roof.  Clip the 4th bolt and make your final move up and right to a good layback feature, cruising on easier terrain to bolt 5 and the anchors.

*Note: I am not sure why this route was listed as a 7-bolt climb and marked as having had a FA.  Could be that this route was in fact a project and never listed on MP.  However, based on route sequence and the description, it all matches up.

Original Description:

Do a series of technical boulder moves to reach the small roof. Easier climbing reaches the anchors. It is very difficult to find a clipping stance for bolt #3, so have a very attentive belayer!

Named for the fictitious annual event held in Winkelman wherein all the townspeople get together to celebrate the mining lifestyle. The highlight of this celebration is the “Night of Slagging” where all the folks just insult, slander, and otherwise abuse each other for sheer entertainment.
