Description Suggest change

A Tairua classic. If you dont enjoy this, you are probably at the wrong crag (or wrong sport).

Pitch 1 (19) - Climb "Are we tramping yet" up to the large sandy ledge. Bolted belay.

Pitch 2 (22) - This pitch goes up through the middle of the massive groove/concavity that you can see from the campsite. From the left hand end of the sandy ledge follow the left line of bolts straight up the featured face and through the featured overhang (crux). This leads into a corner with potential for some rest stances before transitioning onto the left hand face and finishing up at the next belay ledge. Bolted belay.

Pitch 3 (18) - Follow the bolts through a bulge and up a corner. From here climb through some exposed 3D features. When you emberge from the corner follow the bolts back to the right, then straight up to bolted belay.

Abseil back down to large ledge at top of P1 (often in 2 abseils). Anchors for other climbs to the left may be more convenient rather than reversing back down the way you came.

Location Suggest change

Pitch 1 is the climb "Are we tramping yet". Located at right end of the crag. Has name at bottom.

Protection Suggest change

Fully bolted with bolted belays. Expendable draws are not mandatory, but are useful to reduce rope drag.
