Description
This is a really nice addition to the climbing around "So What?". The ice is fairly easy, but the body positions are often tight and awkward; a typical Dacks struggle. The route is nearly invisible from the road, but really takes form once you're on it.
From the protected belay, go up right on the ramp, then up a steep curtain into a tight chimney choked with ice. . Up this to a roof. If there's ice (and the blocks that form the roof are frozen), then continue over this (good rock gear) to the trees. It is possible to bail left if the roof doesn't go.
Note: The route has clearly been climbed before, but isn't listed in the guidebook. I named it "Just Because" until somebody comes forward to claim it.
