A wide waterfall with a fifteen minute approach, Palisade Falls can be climbed at any grade between WI3 and WI4+. The fun mushrooms on the left side are the easiest climbing and the thinner, steeper columns out right let you choose your challenge. I particularly enjoyed the mixed finish below the right tree anchor

Take the trail out of the parking lot with the sign for Palisade Falls for 0.7 miles

Screws, possibly small nuts for mixed variations. Three tree anchors - two on the left and one on the right

this is a high flow waterfall so it often takes time or deep temps to freeze it up. it is a pretty alcove area but it right on a very popular trail so it is not a wilderness experience. Jan 9, 2018
