Description

This route is rather atypical for the area. Instead of the normal crimp ladders seen on most of the climbs, Deviled Eggs has quite a few large moves on big, flat ledges.

Begin by climbing threw a beach ball-size hole on the slab to reach the overhanging, red face. Execute a reachy move getting to the second bolt, continuing up on easy terrain until reaching a mini-bulge around the fifth bolt. Get a good rest, crank the crux, and hold on to the anchor. This is a great route.

Location

This is right of The Devil's Own Stone, the fourth bolted line from the right.

Protection

10 bolts.

Fun route and enjoyable climbing on well-protected rock.
Trying to determine rating based on other routes on the wall...I got on Dammit Samet the same day and thought it was harder than this route (the crack on DS zapped me so maybe that's why). Jun 6, 2016

Funny, Leeanne, I found this route to be harder than Dammit Samet.... Regardless of grades, they are both fantastic! Thanks for the great addition, Matt. Oct 9, 2016
