Multiple crazy hand-positions and the repeated use of a single undercling make this problem a gem. Dean Privett, the head-setter at Santa Barbara Rock Gym, loves underclings (and I do mean loves), so I coined this problem after him.

Begins on the right face of the boulder. Sit-start with left hand on good jug/crimp, and right hand on small vertical crimp. Fire up right to the big sloper/pinch, then head straight up via tricky feet, lots of re-positioning, and some trickery.

Pads. Uneven bouldery landing.

The underling has completely broken and no longer exist. Other sequences have been found which make the problem the same grade. Apr 16, 2018
