Access Issue: Current San Diego County Advisories Details

Description

Noticed this one in the Kennedy/Hubbard guidebook. I have not climbed it. It merges with Standard Deviation and therefore has two possible finishes (see photo).

Messier describes it as "Devious and technical."

Location

It begins in between Standard Deviation and Kathy's Memorial.

Protection

5 bolts with a bolt anchor.

Warning - anchor point has spinning hangers, a guess would be they werent drilled deep enough. Use caution. 9/22/2012. Sep 23, 2012

You can easily set a TR on this, but just be careful since the crux comes so low that rope stretch could put you on the ground without an attentive belay. Aug 1, 2018
