Steep face to slightly less steep face. A bit reachy so it is harder if you are shorter.

Right hand route on the right hand wall of Saguaro Corners.

While not classic like Four Play or The Wizard, Ocotillo, a 7 bolt 5.11d established by Scott Ayers, is a nice puzzler on quality stone. Laybacks, edges, crimps, and delicate footwork lead to a rest. A short rail traverse brings one to the chains.

I immensely enjoyed deciphering a sequence near the third bolt. Left or right? After my initial attempts were thwarted I switched sides only to switch back on my next try. Dec 20, 2013
