Description

Super Classic roof climbing. KB worked on this for a while and shoulder injuries kept him from the FFA. I'm not sure about Litz doing the FFA but I've got a good hunch... If anyone knows let me know.

Location

The left most climb on the broom ledge.

I think the FFA is Bentley Brackett. To my knowledge, Litz never actually sent. There's a bit of a technicality here. On his first attempt, James hung at the 12a crux on the lower face, then fired the roof. On his second attempt, he did actually fall on the roof. I think Bentley has the first complete redpoint. Still, it was rather impressive watching James flash the roof, topping it off by clipping the anchor while dead hanging off the three-finger, sloping pocket. Dec 22, 2009

Everything about this route is awesome! The techy and thought-provoking face is a great climb in its own right, and the roof is absolutely stellar. Very core-intensive moves that will test both your static and dynamic abilities. After finishing all of the classic Obed roofs, this one stands out as THE BEST! Jul 25, 2018
