The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
This is the obvious wide crack with plentiful face holds just right of Planet X and serves as the downclimb for that route. Not as awkward as it looks, but probably better to climb up it once before using it as a downclimb.
