Description

This is a nice, thin, slabby route up the SE face of Barnacle Rock, just uphill from Bride and Groom on Wedding Rock. Scramble up on the ledge, and tiptoe to the first bolt. The rock has very interesting texture, featured with many tiny bumps. Higher up you'll climb just to the left of the wild quartz 'barnacles.'

Protection

Five bolts to two bolt anchor.

A bit run out, which adds to the clench factor, but a great climb. Amazing views from the top. Good climb for later in the day. Sep 14, 2016

There is quite a large distance between the 4th and 5th bolts. You can protect it halfway through with a tricam or a nut or two, but who would think to bring these along? The final move before the 5th bolt is easy, but committing. Quality climbing with built in excitement factor. Aug 30, 2004
Actually, at the top, you climb to the right of the barnacles, not the left. Jul 3, 2003
