Correct trail is to cut to the right at GPS 37.878661, -122.618690 there is a trail down and to the right (start seen in photo). You'll then curve around a cliff, follow the trail towards the ocean and then follow well defined trails to EB or Vent 5.

The trail you're looking for goes down to the right. Looks like a scary dropoff from here but actually a well defined trail if you go down and to the right at the arrow.
