Original account of the first ascent in the 1965 AAJ. A few other noteworthy routes from the same year: Index Town Wall (WA), West Buttress & Dihedral Wall on El Cap, the Folly & Goodrich Pinnacle in the Valley, the Cirque of Towers Traverse (Wind Rivers), Direct South Buttress of Halletts Peak & Chief's Head NE Face (RMNP) to name a few. Quite a year!
