Original account of the first ascent in the 1965 AAJ. A few other noteworthy routes from the same year: Index Town Wall (WA), West Buttress & Dihedral Wall on El Cap, the Folly & Goodrich Pinnacle in the Valley, the Cirque of Towers Traverse (Wind Rivers), Direct South Buttress of Halletts Peak & Chief's Head NE Face (RMNP) to name a few. Quite a year!

Totally kids, hardest climb up to that point, a rack of nuts, a couple of bongs (as in old big pitons) and the old Ortenberger Guide book. <br> <br> Last time I climbed it was in the late 90's with my teenage son. The Snaz has been a big part of my life of climbing.
