Lone Peak Cirque

This guy was buzzing around us as we were topping out the Lowe Route.

Alpine approach. Looking down where the start of the gully is. Second Hamongog, is just left of the pine trees. If your going down, this is where the trail leaves the gully and goes left.

Nothing better than waking up in the cirque to this view!

One of Lone Peak's permanent residents, wondering what those crazy bipeds are up to.

4 hours to the summit up Jacob's Ladder

I found this tree to be key beta for the Alpine approach (which is a bit confusing near the top). I have done both Alpine and Jacob's Ladder and really can't figure out which is worse. . .

On approach.

Alpine approach. Go right and up here looking for the 8' tall dead tree stump. This is where the trail forks, not far from the 2nd Hamongog.
