One of <em>Lone Peak's</em> permanent residents, wondering what those crazy bipeds are up to.

On the hike back after topping out on the summit (via Open Book).

I found this tree to be key beta for the Alpine approach (which is a bit confusing near the top). I have done both Alpine and Jacob's Ladder and really can't figure out which is worse. . .

This is where the hiking starts for the Jacobs Ladder trail. The parking area is about 100 feet back down the road.<br>

Lone Peak Cirque

Alpine approach. Go right and up here looking for the 8' tall dead tree stump. This is where the trail forks, not far from the 2nd Hamongog.

Alpine approach. Looking down where the start of the gully is. Second Hamongog, is just left of the pine trees. If your going down, this is where the trail leaves the gully and goes left.
