Description Suggest change

Mahout Rock is 60 odd km from Bangalore, and 6 km, north-east of Ramanagara town on, Ramanagara-Magadi road.
The two-pitch bolted route at this crag is the second bolted route put up by Jean-Francois Hagenmuller and KV Mohana in 1991, ground up.
An old classic. The bolts were replaced by Sohan, Satish, Bhaskar Bhat & Shrikant Venkoba in 2016.

Getting There Suggest change

On reaching Ramanagara town, take a right turn at the central bus stand, towards Magadi. Drive for another five-six kilometer, until you see the profile of Mahout rock. Park in the village and hike up to the base
