Description
When driving upriver around the corner from French Gulch and Timewave Wall you pass under a steep southwest-facing slope with a series of parallel fins and rocky ribs oriented perpendicular to the river/road. They are separated by talus and stands of mountain mahogany. Three of these fins have climbable faces with a total of 13 established lines (including, apparently, an open project on Mother’s Day Wall). The developed walls generally face west-northwest.
Getting There
The Fins are 0.5 mile upstream, around the corner from French Gulch. There is a large parking pullout on the river side of road. The western-most fin is Mother’s Day Wall right there next to the road. The approach is minimal. The Middle and Upper Fins are visible upslope from the parking area with the Middle being mid-slope and the Upper slightly higher to the right. They take a steep, 15–20-minute approach.
