Description
The south face of Åkersberget has about a dozen trad and sport/mixed routes from 40 to 70 feet in height, with routes from about 5.5 to 5.11 in difficulty. The south face is on the left side of a promontory as viewed on the approach.
The rightmost routes on the face are not affected by tides. The leftmost lines are over the water and must be reached by rappel.
Getting There
Drive about 4km west from Mölle and park in the large parking lot near the campground. The coordinates for this parking lot are 56.301360,12.457117.
From the parking lot, walk south on a yellow marked hiking trail that initially goes along the west side of the campground. About 200 meters from the parking lot, you'll encounter a section of trail that has a wooden boardwalk. At the far end of the boardwalk is a gate. Pass through the gate and continue downhill (southwest) on the yellow trail to a second gate (coordinates of 56.298700,12.453340; about 150 meters from the first gate).
Pass through the second gate. The yellow trail continues downhill and a red trail heads right, contouring along the hillside. Follow the yellow trail downhill another 80 meters. Directly in front of you will be a hill. The left side has a cliff that you'll be viewing in profile - this is the south face of Åkersberget (coordinates of 56.297879, 12.451900). To the right of the hill is a gap between two small cliffs. Going down through this gap will get you to the north face of Åkersberget (coordinates of 56.298418, 12.451240).
The approach from the parking lot to Åkersberget is about 520 meters in length with roughly 100 meters of elevation loss.
