From the Ohio River Valley in the northern panhandle to the majestic Cheat Canyon, the Northern West Virginia region offers a wide variety of climbing opportunities in beautiful settings!

As a part of the Cheat Canyon, Coopers Rock State Forest holds a lifetime of climbing! The gritstone is exceptionally solid and sits peacefully in the dense West Virginia forest. The Cheat Canyon has an abundance of amazing rock that will keep you coming back again and again and again! And up in the northern panhandle there are boulderfields that are well worth a stop, so from Wheeling to Parkersburg to Morgantown get out and explore what northern West Virginia has to offer!
