Description Suggest change

Walking The Fish runs 35-40' up a stack of granite pancakes. Is it a moronic scramble? Is it a high stakes VB? We aren't sure but its there and runs up the most natural line of this unusual feature.

When you are parked at the Rush Lake loop look south and spot the juggy layers stacked high. They are too inviting not to climb.

  • ** Please be aware that any fall at any grade from 35-40' would nearly guarantee serious injury even with pads. Don't take this climb too casually. Respect yourself and your partners, so if you're not sure about going up or downclimbing it to bail, please wait until you are or have a TR setup ***

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the Rush Lake loop and head south down human trails and cross the creekbed. After the creek take deer trails through sumac uphill. On the far western right of this main wall are the Shadow Work highballs with Walking The Fish highball to the left, the Irrational Fears climbs, and then Bad Beta Podcast Studios to the far east. Once you gain some elevation you should see the stacked pancakes of Walking The Fish. Head through the sumac or boulder hop to get up there. Near the base the paths are pretty clear.
