Description Suggest change

This columnar basalt area is located high up a slope above Highway 1, not too far north of the village of Hali and south of the town of Hofn. The cliff is about 90 meters high and as of 2021, there are about a half dozen trad routes, all 5.10 and harder.

Just north on Highway 1 and a short distance up F985, is the small crag of Fremstavatn.

Just south on Highway 1 is the small roadside bouldering area of Steinafjall.

Getting There Suggest change

Find a safe and legal place to park along Highway 1 and then hike steeply uphill for 30-40 minutes to the crag.
