Description Suggest change

This basalt area has roughly 70 trad routes from 5.0-5.11. Many of the climbs were established in the 1970s and 80s. The routes are roughly 8-40 meters tall. The approach takes 15-25 minutes from the parking lot.

Getting There Suggest change

This area is located about 30 minutes northeast of downtown Reykjavik.

Go northeast on Highway 1 and Highway 36 about 26km total. 

Turn left and travel roughly northwest to a large parking lot located at approximately 64.211951, -21.482381.

From the parking area, it is roughly a 15-25 minute walk to the various climbing sectors.
