Access Issue: Rebolting Complete! Details

CA State Parks officially reopened Big Rock to public access April 28th, 2018. After months of effort 53 anchors and 232 bolts have been upgraded to 1/2" X 2.75" stainless steel Powers 5-piece bolts and rings.

Description

The Upper Slab sits high on the left side of the Main Slab and features a number of moderate cracks and more challenging face routes.

Any of these routes make a nice second pitch to the routes below or can easily be combined to create a longer single pitch.

Getting There

Approach via any of the routes directly below the Upper Slab - from The Roof to Crater Maker (aka Dark Side of the Moon).
