Description

From most angles this is a non-descript boulder on the hillside.

Getting There

From the SW parking area, head upstream along Messenger Creek. Before you round the bend, this boulder is found on the northwest facing slope above you, below the ridgeline.

From Surprise, head west as for Messenger Boulder, but drop off the ridgeline to the north before you reach Messenger.

From Messenger Boulder, contour north, then west. This is perhaps the easiest way to find it, the first time.
