Description Suggest change

The Ericsson Crags are a handful of sub peaks extending North from Mt. Ericsson. If planning on climbing for a single day, camp at East Lake. If you're planning on multiple days of climbing it may be worth it to get your heavy pack to the small lakes at the base of ericsson crag #3.

Getting There Suggest change

Refer to the main page on how to reach East Lake. From East Lake take the trail heading south towards Lake Reflection. Approx. 3/4ths of the way there you'll encounter a talus field where the trail will split. Take the trail that switch backs up the hill just before the talus field. After some steep switch backs the trail will peter out just before some boulders near the top of the hill. Head right (south) through a marshy area with fallen/rotten logs. Continue up the drainage following faint trails and occasional steep switch backs on the north side of the creek. Eventually you'll reach an open area with a few streams where ericsson crag #3 will be clearly seen. While the trail is faint, as of june 2020 it was fairly well cairned for a backcountry venue. This approach loosely follows the old Harrison Pass Trail, though expect more of a game/climber trail than an established trail.
