Description Suggest change

I believe this area was once a part of Flat Ledge quarry. Since the closing of the Rockport Granite Co. and the filling of the reservoirs, this area has been made independent of the main quarry by the trail and land between. This pit has a lot of potential and feels like a mini-alpine area.

In the winter, it sometimes grows a massive curtain of ice, great for toproping or a solid leader.

As with all of my posts, names given are working titles, any information about these areas is welcome and will be incorporated. Cheers!

Getting There Suggest change

After passing under the great arch, follow the trail to the dam. Look left to see Quarryman’s Arete. Cross the talus field and climb.

A trail leaves left from the main trail shortly after the arch. It is the better approach trail in winter.
