Getting There

After crossing the main bridge from the parking lot, follow the trail to the right. When it Ts into old roadbed/trail head downhill and turn right at a signed junction onto the continuation of the trail (towards Corner Pocket) before you hit the floodplain. If you hit a footbridge, you've gone too far.  Stay high on the trail. Follow this all the way out, past Corner Pocket, some stone steps, and a series of switchbacks. After this let the Grail guide you into the woods down the continuation of the trail. Again, let the Grail guide you across the creek and continue following the trail across a floodplain and then left along old roadbed/trail. It will eventually end in a hollow where the sign for Camelot will direct you up the approach trail.

A better description on how to get there would be to go toward corner pocket/ pharmacy and keep going. Walk by the boulder on the right side of the trail, and keep going. Keep going across a couple of flood plains, a few stone stairs, and you'll eventually come to a short uphill section of switchbacks (after corner pocket). It is at the top of these that you will see the first of the grail photos. The first time we went, we did not go far enough, and just climbed at corner pocket. The next day, we went back, and found Camelot. There are TONS of climbs there now, and most of them are not on here, and not in the book. We only did the Grail, She's a witch, and lady of the lake - all were quite good, and very enjoyable. The hike back took about 25 minutes, but I would plan at least 30 for the approach, since it is more uphill. Oct 24, 2018
