Description
A thick forest loaded with talus, moss, ferns and mosquitoes! This area gets slightly more sun than the "North End" making it a good area to climb the day after a rainstorm. (Depending on wind and humidity of course) This area has potential for lots of problems, and if you like to hike, the rock clusters appear about every 5-10 minutes. If you plan on doing exploring out here, it is advised that you have a cell phone and/ or a partner in case of an emergency. Most cell phones tend to have service throughout Clough which is great.
Getting There
From The Gazebo, cut left into the woods by stepping over the cable. You will walk down towards a small stream which may be flowing or may be dry, depending on rainfall and the time of year. Once across the stream, you can veer leftwards slightly until you come across "The Dungeon". From here follow the trail on the leftside of the boulder which will then lead you to the first boulder cluster found on this side of the gazebo. Keep following the trail until you step over a log and walk up a short hill. You will see the slightly overhanging classic arete, "Tears of a Lone Wolf", on your right.
