Access Issue: MM 23-29.5 - now ended daily CO 7 highway closure/delays
Details
Per Kai Bouwman: the daily CO 7 highway closure/delay access issue is no longer a problem according to CDOT the construction finished as of Nov. 11, 2022.
From CDOT: Colorado Highway 7 is closed daily from MP 23-29.5. Motorists can only travel through the area between 6-8 am and 4-7 pm. During these timeframes, pilot cars will lead alternating one-way travel. Drivers should plan for delays, and this schedule will remain in place through Memorial Day 2022.
During the closure, motorists need to take US 36 to CO 7.

Description
This is a sunny spot that faces south from the north side of Deadman Gulch valley. It seems to see very little traffic. The boulder is part of an outcropping of rock at the crest of its hill. It sticks out like a large fin at the top of the hill, so it feels really exposed while climbing, but the landing isn't so bad. This fits a couple pads and spotters.
The rock on this specific boulder seems pretty solid, but I'm sure some breakage will occur before all possible problems are established.

Getting There
Upon entering Deadman Gulch from parking across the highway, take the less-visible trail uphill to the right. Follow this path past all the smaller rocks and boulders until reaching a large meadow that leads uphill on your right. At the top, you can see Dance Hall of the Dead. Go uphill towards Dance Hall, and head left when you reach it. Following the ridge line left will lead you to the Mental Crux Boulder. I'll get GPS coordinates up here soon.
