Mysore (locally Mysuru) is a city in Southern Karnataka, about 3-4 hours west of Bangalore. The capital of the Mysore kingdom for over half a millennium, Mysore has a rich cultural history and hosts large palaces, gardens, mosques and temples. The rock is granite, and is just recently starting to see some development beyond bouldering.
