Description
The Jupiter Area is the yin to the Big Walls yang. The routes can be just as long, or longer, than the Big Wall but not as severe. The lower angle, ledges and numerous trees reduce some of the exposure. Routes are generally in the 5.10 range and well bolted with modern hardware.
Getting There
From where the approach trail hits the base of the "Nose", head steeply up and left along the base of the cliff to an obvious, clean slab with some bolts. This is "Dallas". For the other routes at the Jupiter Wall, head left for 50 feet to a right leaning gully/ramp. Scramble up the ramp to access the steep, wooded ledge system where all of the routes start. Further right up here is "Jupiter". Scramble further left and up to find the other climbs.
