Description
The After Work Boulders offer the most accessible climbing in the Waterville Region. This area is not extensive or amazing, but if you're looking for a quick workout, this spot is worth checking out. One problem (Ready Fire Aim) stands out as classic, but there's still potential for some fill-ins that would create a nice little circuit.
Getting There
Park at the Smarts Brook Trailhead parking lot. Take the trail that's closest to the visitor sign (i.e., not the actual Smarts Brook Trail). This is the Pine Flats Trail. The trail you want runs parallel to the river on its left side. Follow this trail for about 4 minutes until it goes up a small rise. When you see a small (too small) boulder on the right, head left into the woods for about 100 feet to the boulder. The Ready Fire Aim corner should be obvious.
