Description
Located in the middle of the canyon between the creek and the cliffside, this boulder has a handful of good problems featuring a few highballs, cobble climbing, and a couple easy ones. This makes it a decent boulder to investigate.
This boulder receives direct sunlight most of the day with the shady backside not having any problems.
Uphill and adjacent to this boulder is the Orange Boulder.
In the guidebook "Bouldering Colorado", this is listed as the Plate Rock.
Getting There
Take the Creek Bottom trail south (into the canyon), past the waterfall to where the trail meets-up with a number of small boulders along the river. Rock-hop over the river and head directly up the hillside aiming slightly to your left.
The boulder is about 100 yards downhill from the cliffs. The Buoux Block (massive sport-route boulder) is further up the hill and to the left.
The main, flat plate side will be facing you as you approach from below.
Bushwhacking may be required if you don't find a solid social trail.
