Description
Amazing arch for deep water soloing. Officially climbing is not allowed, but in practice there's no access issue. Keep a low profile and be considerate to beach swimmers.
For the tick-minded, there are a couple established 12s, climbing each side of the arch.
The guidebook recommends abseiling in from the top of the cliff, but the trail has been closed due to lose rock. One can easily swim to a starting point of any climb from the beach--bring a dry bag for shoes and chalkbag if you want a proper onsight attempt!

Getting There
There are two ways to get to Durdle Door: there's a trail from Lulworth Cove visitor center, and a different trail from Durdle Door Holiday Park. For the latter option, there's a free pullout right at the fork for driving into Holiday Park, who then charges for parking. The pullout adds at most a mile of easy walking to the approach.
