Description
Located in Western Norway, Rogaland has a coastal feel with tall mountains and deep fjords. Rogaland is famous for Prekestolen (Pulpit Rock) and Kjeragbolten. From Stavanger you can take a ferry into Lysefjorden where granite bigwalls rise up more than 900m out of the water. Many of Norway´s most famous climbers are either from, or have lived in Stavanger which is an interesting city by itself. Stavanger is full of art and life and plenty of rest day activities (such as surfing, although it is out of town).
