Description

Gloppedalsura is best known as northern europe´s biggest scree field. It was created when an avalanche of boulders fell down from the cliffs on either side of the canyon and piled up on top of the terminal moraine. There are a handful of known big wall routes and an endless amount of boulders to climb on. There are a few areas that are popular for bouldering, and there are even some boulders that are big enough to require rope.

Getting There

The closest city is either Stavanger or Egersund. You can take a bus from Stavanger to Byrkjedalstunet, but a car is highly recommended!
