Description
Short approach, variety of grades, and routes that are sheltered from rain, Landro is a probably sampled mostly in poor weather.
Around 60 routes from 15 to 25m in length from 4+ to 8b, with most routes in the 5-7 range on slab to steep overhangs.
Located on the main road to Cortina d'Ampezzo, just west of the Tre Cime di Laverado, providing a nice tune up and diversion in case of drizzling rain.
Getting There
Take the main SS 51 out of Cortina to the north. Just past the turn off for Carbonin to Misurina (road which leads to the Refugio Auronzo on the south side of the Tre Cima), in 1 km the road passes under some steep overhanging rock just past the km122 marker. Park on the right (east) side of the road. The rock is a mere 50m away!
Enjoy a very short approach.
Around 20 km from Cortina d'Ampezzo.
If coming south on the 51 towards Cortina, the crag is just south of Lago di Landro on the west (right) side of the road.
