All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.
Description
The Genocide Cave is an impressive amphitheatre, featuring a variety of challenging sport climbs and trad lines. Disturbance (11d), a bolted crack, is one of the finest 5.11s in the region. After doing this classic check out Green Envy (12c) and the bouldery McCrayfish and Chips (13d). All these routes travel up stellar stone. For the hard trad climber there is also the finger crack Genocide (12a) and Blood Meridian (12d).
The cave gets morning shade and it is seldom that you see anybody else at this wall. This crag could be a decent place to hang out during a light rain.
