Getting There
Approach: About 45 minutes from the wooden sign parking pullout at the Banff boundary to the base of East Planters Wall.
Follow the road West from the Banff national park boundary signpost (big wooden sign w/ info) for about 10 minutes and take a good climbers trail on the left often marked by a cairn towards Planters Valley (South). The trail eventually runs into the creek (usually dry). Good small boulder hopping upcreek for about 20 minutes brings you below East Planters wall on your left and West Planters Wall on your right (notable by the big right leaning scar from bottom to top). Pass several notable scree descents on the left and scramble up the slope at the best looking spot trending up and back left towards trees. Head left into the trees and pickup another good climbers trail that leads up to the base of the wall and the start of several of the climbs.
