Description
Although this area has one of the shortest approaches at the Lake, it has also been underdocumented until the publication of the 3rd edition of the "Climber's Guide to Devil's Lake". Even now, several of the best routes here remain unnamed and therefore unknown to most local climbers!
I think the best lines here are likely to be "North Country Crack" (5.7), "Down South" (5.9), and "Divergent Crack" (5.10).
Getting There
Park at the first lot as you come in the North Entrance to the Park. Head up the West Bluff trail about 100 yards. The first slabby overlook (on your left) is the top of the North Slope. Either backtrack a few yards until you can cut along below this little cliff line, or continue up to the south end of the slabs until you can drop down and cut back along the bottom.
