Description Suggest change

This is a Windgate Sandstone cliff with excellent solid rock. There are crack and face climbs to be had. It gets shade.

Per Paul Byrne: No time to make it to the Creek? Sewemup Mesa is your Wingate sandstone solution closer to home.

The majority of the climbs are shady, so it's a good summer crag. There are many moderate cracks and a few bolted lines.

See The Wild Wild West by Charlie Fowler and Damon Johnston for full beta. Climbs are in bunches spread out along the wall, and overgrowth makes for somewhat tedious hiking between routes.

Getting There Suggest change

Head past Gateway on CO 141 to Mile Marker 95. This takes about an hour from Grand Junction. Hike up the slope to the base.

Per Paul Byrne: From Naturita, drive northwest on CO Highway 141 out of Naturita towards Grand Junction. There are several parking areas before and around mile marker 95.
